The M.R Štefánika Airport is the principal international airport of the Slovak Republic with day-and-night (24 hour) operation. It is situated 9 km to the north-east from the inner city, in the area with the elevation above sea-level of 132 m, spreading on the area of 477 hectares. The climatic conditions of the airport are particularly good and the location within Central European region is favourable. It serves scheduled and non-scheduled air services on domestic as well as international flights.
